7 Reasons to Become a Minimalist

There is only one thing people can't tolerate and that is a mess. Well, what is Minimalism? It is the art of simple living and giving up the things that don't serve you anymore. People sell or throw things that provide less or no value to life.

 There are lots to benefits to going minimalism. By getting rid of anything that distracts us from achieving our full potential in every walk of life. There are no certain rules or regulations that you have to follow to become a minimalist. 

You can develop your own way by choosing things that matter most not only things but people, places or a specific way of living. 

Let us do some cleaning and understand the reasons to go Minimalism.


1. Less chaos

As soon as you start to declutter, you start to realize how much useless things you were having over a period of time. 

Sometimes people buy a thing in more than one quantity thinking that it will provide more value, but instead, it creates more mess and nothing else.

Sorry to say, but the attachment is not good when you want to be a Minimalist. Sell or simply donate those things that are of no use and still costing you a lot in maintenance because LESS IS MORE.

2. More productivity

As the quote express" Less is More". If you still didn't understand how less could be more then you need to take a break and think about it deeply. True Valuable things which are less in quantity will provide more of it. 

If you heard about 80/20 principle you can simply relate to it. The factor that matters is that only 20% of things positively impact 80% of your life.

With having less stuff, you can easily focus on things that actually matter. Eventually, creating a calm and productive routine leading to a happy life which is number 3.

3. Happy life

Most people are maximalists, they go to the store and buy all things that are appealing, thinking that the more things they own, the happier their life would be, but we all know its wrong. 

If you have done so and so, don't bother because we are after all humans and it's due to the phenomenon called the "Survival of the Fittest". All human beings want social security and try to fit into society they believe in.

The most fundamental truth is that happiness is not out there in some objects, people or a situation, it's within us.

4. Connect with True Friends

Minimalism doesn't only apply to things, but also people. Ask yourself how many true friends do you have. It is worth spending time with someone who really appreciates your dreams and individuality and accepts the way you are. 

Befriend those who provide real value to your life. If you don't have enough true friends, then why don't you make new friends that share similar interests.

Be open to new people and conversations with strangers and you might end up meeting your soulmate. Who knows?

5. Travel Easily

Minimalists have complete freedom to travel easily. They have less stuff and most of them cause no trouble in mobility. Buying lots of things can be good for your status, not in the case of travel. You don't need to make a long-list when traveling somewhere.

It's not that Maximalists have a huge ( never-ending ) before even they about traveling. The problem though is that after returning home, they might have to do a lot of cleaning.

After all, Less Luggage, Less Stress.

6. More Money, Less Debt

Minimalism is not about having things that just look good, but create an impact on our life positively. Why keeping both oven & gas-stove, when you rarely use one of them. Not to mention- It is not only the case with kitchen appliances, but people also buy something to show their status and it turns out to be unhealthy for both their health as well as wealth because they got more debt.

Stop spending money or savings on invaluable things. Be conscious of the things you are buying. You can even invest money wherever you feel right and understand the difference between "want" and "need".

7. Better Health, Clear mind

We have covered all the benefits of becoming a minimalist. As mentioned earlier, having more stuff is like having more stress and we don't want it.

 It needs a lot of maintenance to keep up with the things you own. You have to do long hours cleaning, washing, which ends up spending lots of money and time.

The truth is "We hate mess" and going minimalism can help us achieve better health and a clear mind by giving up even the foods that don't serve you.
